    My Craft Fair Table

Hi Donnie I love your stall but can see how it could be improved. This stall is along the lines of yours using crates, building up into a complete shop. This pic is a stall in Covent Garden Market in London, they use vintage crates to their best.

Alternatives for Palm oil! HARMFUL TO THE EARTH!

I heard my name being mentioned so thought I'd pitch in :) Thanks AGriffin & Mad Piano for the kind words. From my point of view, consumers are really starting to look for palm oil free soap or palm from sustainable sources. I know there are problems associated with the palm oil plantations...

    Lotion, Creams and Butters...

This blog is the best! I love the way Susan writes, she makes very complicated things easy to understand. At the mo she is doing a series on HLB system & emulsifiers.

    New Stuff

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. The stamp is a set, so you can print what you want on your bars, one downside is that the fonts available are not very exciting. I haven't used it half as much as I should have either but I've started using it on my bigger sized new soaps which are...

    Fruit additives.

I have used a fair amount of fruit in soap, the most recent one is the bottom left in the pic which has raspberries in the bottom layer. Depending on how much you add you do run the risk of your soap going brown

    Silver or grey color soap

I just made grey soap (not on purpose) I added a little alkanet to the olive oil and a good helping of dead sea mud.

    DOS Paranoia

I used to use olive, coconut, ricebran & avocado, it made such lovely soap but I was hit with DOS too many times that I changed my recipe. It was also quite a soft soap, so I now use a good bit of shea or cocoa butter in my soap.

    Wildflower tea & a soap

Thanks Ladies  I'm liking cigar bands, I've been playing with some to wrap round my soap boxes too to save on buying stickers & hand stamping each box. The soap is really lavender & lemongrass (just a little, not too overpowering) the "bits" are whizzed up lav buds.

    Wildflower tea & a soap

I wasn't happy with my bath tea packaging so time for a redesign.... There's 3 T bags in this wee box, they have calendula, heartsease, borage leaf, red clover & meadowsweet along with some salts, goats milk and EO. Lavender & Lemon soap - my biggest batch yet! I normally make 18 x 90g bars...

    Soap store

The first soap I ever made was with those oils (like many other people) I used 19% palm, 33% coconut & 48% olive. It made nice soap.
