    Acrylic planer

Hi all, could anyone tell me at what height should the blade be set for planing my soaps. I know the higher it is the more it will plane off, I just wondered if there was a sweet spot. TIA ffynn

    my first round soap

[QUOTE="Michele50, post: 787342, member: 33595"]Looks cool, ffynnon. I've just made one much like yours, only I made figure 8s and am hoping to have something that resembles a flower. I hope I'm as pleased with mine as you are with yours. Isn't it just so pleasing to cut into freshly made soap...

    my first round soap

Had a lovely surprise when I cut a column soap made on Wednesday. I used a Pringles tube and fashioned a thin tube out of a sheet of acetate that I had to put in centre for the black soap. It was messy to pull out the inner tube but I managed it, my batter was a bit too thick and I had to work...

    Goats milk

Thanks everyone for your replies. Even though I live very rural here in Wales, I don't know anyone with goats. I will have to ask around. I just wanted to try goats milk for its gentle effect (although there are heaps of recipes that are gentle without the GM) I think I'm after something...

    Goats milk

Thank you IrishLass. The EO was just a thought should the soap smell milky. I have frozen most of the carton of goats milk now. I will give it a go at the weekend and see how it turns out. I have had a look at the link you kindly put in your post and I think I have everything except the soya...

    Goats milk

Hi all I have a question for those soapers that use goats milk. If you use fresh milk, is it pasteurized/homogenized from the supermarket or do you get raw milk from a local farm or indeed your own goats? Does pasturisation alter the benefits of goat milk?, I know we are not supposed to make...

My first attempt at hanger swirl

thanks. I poured a base layer of white, then some purple to one side of the mould alternating with white, I think there was only 2 layers of purple and then did 2 passes with the hanger first time to the bottom and only going as far as the centre point, the second pass was hanger in the same...
