    Pine tar soap recipe help needed

    I added ginger snap fragrance oil to the recipe and it helped to get rid of the heavy pine tar smell. It now has a very nice woodsy smell to it. I cant wait to try some out one more week of curing and I will update on the outcome :) Todd

    Hello all Made my first attempt last night which was a total fail my soap came to a heavy trace to quickly to get to swirl it at all I was able to recover the loaf with a simple swirl done with a spoon. I will post some pics later today. Todd

    Bought some new supplies

    Well I ordered 16 lbs of lye today from Essential Depot got a great deal 16 lbs Food Grade Sodium Hydroxide Lye Micro Beads - 8 x 2lb Bottles 1 $26.64 I also bought my scale and a mini mixer from Brambleberry looks like I will be making some more soap very soon :) Todd
