Anise essential oil burned the heck out of my skin

I am dealing with bad anxiety. I read anise is A good oil for this. I put 7 drops in my bath water. I started to burn quickly. Ran downstairs to shower and rinse it off. Now I am covered in a red burning rash. Any experiences with something like this or advice? It doesn't look bad enough to...

    A few Questions.

First, what are these spots? I just noticed them. They look kind of grayish. Also can I shrink wrap soaps around 2 weeks? Will they still cure? Thanks!

Keeps getting more beautiful as it darkens.

Curious to see what it will be like tomorrow. This is my favorite batch yet! Mix of toasted marshmallow, pine, cedar and fire. It's cool to me how something smells different to each person smelling. To me it's very sweet and I barely smell pine. I asked my father to smell when he visited and...

Does this ever happen to you? I uncover from the box I put it in to gel and sometimes I see pools of fragrance. By the time I'm done cutting it, it'd almost fully re absorbed.

I think every batch of soap I've made is lye heavy...

I don't understand how this could be. I follow exact measurements on lye calculators. 5 percent superfat. All of my bars are 4 to 12 weeks cured that I tested when I do the zap test they all kind of sting and burn. How the heck could every batch be lye heavy? I just had my husband do it and...

I feel pretty addicted lol. I read about it all day long on and off. Forums and groups. I think about it... I make it... I daydream about cutting... Lmao. I was telling my husband last night how it's like Christmas morning every time I cut into a new loaf.

New soap mold makes massive bars.

Wow I wasn't expecting this lol! For those who use a 7 or 7.5 lb mold from nurture how much product ounces do you put in? I'm trying to figure out a reasonable amount. These bars are over 7 ounces and I'm used to 4.5 to 5 ounces. Also if I do make them shorter and do piped fancy tops will the...

Is It possible to maintain thin traced soap in a 7+ lb mold?

I usually use 2 pound molds. I just did my first 7.5lb loaf today. By the time I mixed in all of the dispersed colors and fragrance the soap was at a medium thick trace. It just kept getting thicker and thicker as I pathetically tried to swirl pour. I did use 1tsp sodium lactate ppo though...
