    Samples question

I think it was mentioned on another forum, that someone used a business card as an imbed in clear m&p, which I thought was pretty clever. I guess for CP you could stamp your business info directly into a bar--that seems like it would make yours stand out from others. A die might be a bit of...

    Do Some Bases Layer Better?

I think additves can play havoc with layers sticking together I use SFIC bases all of the time and have never had a problem with layers falling apart except the time I added some monoi oil and dry powders to the base. When I make mine I spritz the base as soon as I pour it and it's still hot...

What might I ask idoes your comment about cars and indoor toilets have to do with organic farming? You can criticize anyone you like, but the does not change the fact that without the chemicals we use to eliminate pests and disease from our crops, people will starve--the world could never...

Student? Got a University Email? FREE SOFTWARE!!!!

So what did you say your brother's university email account was again?

No, "organic" is current marketing hype in the b&b industry--that's why the lawsuit is taking place that Ian referenced. I'm not saying producing organic products is BS, what is BS is the fact that industries are trying to cash in on"certifying" it. Organic products are more expensive...

Need Feedback on Labels for YOU

It doesn't make sense to ask for a business name to print on the labels, and then tell the buyer they have to get a commercial license for permission to use your design. You didn't ask about this, but full coverage ink on the three sheets you give is going to use a huge amount of...

People who bought those products ought to feel like suckers and even start their own class action lawsuit. The term "certified" organic is nothing but another money maker for an organization that will hold all the rights to approving that distinction.

    Best prices on SFIC bases?

SFIC offers organic white and organic clear bases. I found this tidbit of information, which you might find interesting... "Our soap is 100% real soap and not a combination of detergents and or surfactants, which are erroneously called soap. Surfactants and detergents are derived from crude...

    Best prices on SFIC bases?

I think the propylene glycol on the WSP base may scare some people off, and they don't have to be from the "totally natural crowd."

Sampler Boxes??? Do you participate in those?

The only ones who profit from them are the ones organizing them. They are out zero dollars--you send them free products and they have people who pay them money, including the cost of shipping for sending it to them. If you're thinking about participating, ask some questions, such as: Are...

    Best prices on SFIC bases?

Old thread, but I thought I would bring it back up again since there is a co-op for SFIC going on at CT right now.

    Suspension and color Hellllp!

I don't know of opaque suspension soap, but the Chemistry Store has some clear that seems to work well. To color your clear soap I would try using a caramel color (Big River Wholesale carries it) and add just a small amount of opaque soap and melt them together. When you do that it will...

    base lotion supplier

I think it depends on the type of bottle. I don't like PET bottles for lotion with a disc cap, but if you're using HDPE - LDPE bottles it ought to be ok. I bought lotion from someone once in a PET bottle with a disc cap. The bottle ended up cracking when I tried to squeeze some lotion out...

    color for 1st bath salts

I think Joann's carries Life of the Party supplies, which include skin safe colorants for $2 or $3 bucks a pack. Hobby Lobby or Michael's might also carry the same thing--I haven't been in either place in a while to know for sure.

Drying Salts in a Food Dehydrater?

I've never done it, but it seems as though it would be messy compared to just letting them air out on a cookie sheet or something. At least with the dehydrator I have, salt bits would fall through the plastic screen.

    base lotion supplier

I would disagree with the suggestion to put it in a jar. I poured WSP's Goat Milk & Honey in Mailbus and tottles, and 8 oz bottles with a pump and it worked perfectly. No way would I package that lotion in a jar unless it had a pump with it. I gues some people might consider it "very" thick...

    where to get containers

I bought 4 oz tottles (malibu) from The Chemistry Store. I see now that they have a cool looking 6 oz natural bevel bottle with a bronze pump that is a super good deal at 100/$55.
