    Natural Foaming Bath Whip

I've been looking everywhere and have tried several recipes for a foaming bath whip that's natural. I really don't want to use Tetrasodium EDTA or any other questionable ingredients... I saw the one with lye that I could make, but is there one that isn't going to take a month to finish? I love...

    Bubbles Magically Appear! AHH HELP!

I was very careful not to disrupt it. I didn't stir it at all. The bubbles were there when I took it out, I'm assuming the microwave did it, I may have to use a double boiler for this

    Bubbles Magically Appear! AHH HELP!

So I decided to play with some melt and pour while I continue to figure out my cold process soap. I had the mixed variety from Bramble Berry and they worked wonderfully. The only bubbles I got was on the top and they easily went away with a few spritzes of alcohol. I got some glycerine...

    Bath Bomb Colors

So I started using the wilton color right performance system which makes such vibrant colors in the bombs, turns the water a great color without dying your skin or the tub. I like it a lot, but I'm running into a problem I didn't even think about. I have red and green bath bombs for...

So overwhelmed with all of these fragrances! HELP!

So I am looking for fragrances for my bath bombs and every time I try and pick some theres about 6000000000 choices and I have no idea where to start. Are there any websites that sell giant sampler packages so I don't have to go through and figure out which ones are good and bad by myself? I'm...

    Best Oils/Butters to Start With

Thanks that's really helpful! These are just the things I had to start out. I did some research but got antsy and just wanted to make something. I posted a picture on the previous page. Also- I have been ordering from amazon and bramble berry... I am open to cheap soap suppliers though!

    Best Oils/Butters to Start With

I'm going to need to find a list of oils and their effects on soap. Also I've attached the batches I've made so far. The little white ones are bath bombs ypu can ignore them.

    Best Oils/Butters to Start With

Thanks. That's very helpful. I am opposed to using lard, I just went into this thinking I wouldn't use any tallow at all. I didn't realize my bees wax was so high too. Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to have to grab some palm oil now. I used the shea because I knew it was good for you...

    Best Oils/Butters to Start With

I've made 5 different batches so far and I know I used the same main ingredients for the last 3 (the first one I know I did something wrong because it's wildly different. I had beeswax, olive oil (EV - which I now know makes things yellow), shea butter and coconut oil. My breakdown has been...

    soap crumbled when cut

I have no idea what I used... I thought I did, but I must have measured something wrong because I used the "same recipe" the next day and it came out great. It seemed like it was an accelerated cure but I didn't add fragrances because I'm just starting and I wanted to just get the basics...

    Liza Wiley

Haha thanks everyone! I've made a couple batches now and I keep poking them every day! I'm trying to distract myself by making silicone molds for future soap!

    soap crumbled when cut

so I made soap using coconut oil, shea butter and olive oil. I used the lye calculator and I made a lb. It did everything it was supposed to do but I went to check on it an hour later and it was solid as a rock! When I went to cut it, I wasn't thinking I know I didn't wait long enough, but it...

    Bath Bomb ... High humidity

Ive been using shea butter but not a lot and then I bond it with witch hazel... it seems to be working! Using water sets it off too early and makes for a weird consistency.
