    What is best ? Synthetic or Vegtable Oil ? How about Cooking Spray ? Would it work? Thought about using vegtable oil or spray in my molds for bees wax candles.     BayBerry Wax/ Where to buy ?

    Anyone out there know where I can find this stuff. I know it is rare and protected but it still for sale some where. Strahl & Pitsch want $25.00 a Kilo ! That is about $ 12.50 a U.S. Pound. Problem is they only sell in large quantity. 40 kilos. I only want a few pounds.

    How do you know what the proper size is for your tapers? Do you go by how many times you dip them or do you use an inside caliper to measure. I think that something like 7/8 of an inch is the norm for a good taper ??

    SAP Values

    I have 2 books on Soapmaking. One by Maria Nerius and one by Susan Cavitch. Both are very detailed. The Nerius book {1997} says the SAP Value of Beef Tallow is 0.140. The Susan Cavitch is 0.197. Which one is right ?
