    My first Beldi soap

Yes, she does and it's a great read! I would have liked ordering a sauna to go along with the kessa and beldi but not in the budget... maybe a gym membership so I can use theirs! haha ETA: Thank you, earlene! I was fascinated by it too.. and the rituals of the hammams. Just had to make it.

    My first Beldi soap

I used Pilar's recipe. (Thank you SO much!:clap:) I did a 5% SF with rice bran and avocado. Scented at 3% with Eucalyptus FO. Canned black olives that I soaked in water. Cooked for over 5 hours on warm/low... then I turned off the crockpot and fell asleep for a couple hours. When I woke...

Looking for a Christmas perpermint-ish FO

Hippy Christmas from NG. It is a rich blend of peppermint and patchouli.

    Crumbling CP Soap!

Measure everything by weight, in grams. Much more accurate that way.

    How to make labels

I really prefer the coffee filter/twine over the burlap. The coffee filters are simple and the soap fragrance comes through. The labels are simply handwritten on colored construction paper. So far.

A question for lovers of Dragon's Blood

My thanks to you both. I guess I was just wondering how they specifically compared to each other since NG's description didn't list specific notes. You say NG's is more powdery and some of the customer reviews suggested adding sandalwood to it. The price is great but shipping is not so I can't...

A question for lovers of Dragon's Blood

I have purchased all of my fragrances from WSP so far and we love Dragon's Blood in this house. I have been looking at Nature's Garden and their DB price is extremely tempting. Can anyone tell me how WSP and NG versions compare to each other?

    Unisex scents

We are pretty much a Dragon's Blood (WSP) household here... even my little ones like it. As do all of our friends and coworkers, male and female, who have sniffed it. Basil, Sage, Mint EO/FO and Burmese Woods FO (both also WSP) are my personal favorites. BSM is definitely unisex... and...

    Total Newbie

I was also going to suggest castile soap with his skin being so sensitive. It is my favorite soap for facial cleansing as it is extremely gentle. ETA: Welcome to the forum! Christina

    Some "lush"ious soaps

They are all pretty but I also like the last one best! That may be because I always use a wavy cutter but I think it almost makes the swirls appear to be moving.

Exfoliants - anyone use corn meal or chopped rice or other grains?

I love to use baby oatmeal and coffee grinds... I just use the grinds right out of the basket after brewing a pot. I also really like parsley and orange peel as both exfoliants and colorants.

    1st time cp storing issue

I was just wondering what you used to color the soaps? Did I miss that?

    WSP fragrance samples, thoughts?

Butt Naked in Bed is wonderful... watermelon, vanilla and musk. Mouthwatering. No acceleration, turns a medium, kind of pinkish brown. Sticks very well. I still have one bar left that is 2.5 years old. Girls love this but so does my 17 year old son and a few grown men I know. I have BRV but...

Beautiful! That is my favorite color combo.. along with green/purple.

    Earth n' Turf

The bits near the surface have yellowed some but the bits deeper in are still green as is the surrounding soap. I love it, regardless! It smells amazing to me... made my three upstairs rooms smell just like fresh outside for the first week of curing. I don't make candles but I would love one...

    Earth n' Turf

Yes, indeed, but it does not smell "dirty". It smells exactly like moist, mossy earth. Like if you were to dig under an old tree in the middle of the forest.

    Earth n' Turf

Thank you kindly, Seawolfe and CaraBou! The top is Fresh Cut Grass FO (and parsley) and the bottom is Dirt FO and coffee grinds.

    Earth n' Turf

Thank you! I used only parsley.
