    Yes soy wax. Sorry i should have been more specific. Naturewax c3. I'd prefer to use more natural wax and not add paraffin if possible.

    After burning, the wax is turning a different color and giving the candle an ugly layered look. Is this from the type of wax? Or the heat? Any tips on how to not make this happen? Here's a picture... http://imgur.com/tBNGjq2

    I used about 15% essential oils and the whole candle caught fire. Was this because of the flashpoint of the essential oils? Or because I used so much? Or the type of wax (soy)? I liked the smell and would like to try to make this work

    base oils totaled 35 oz; i used 2.75 oz of essential oil & 1 oz of pumice. the color was 1.5 tsp indigo dye

    i used essential oils of lime, thyme, rosemary and palmarosa didn't know you could add the EO's to the lye water! that's a great tip, thanks. can i add color and exfoliants in there too?

    while stirring last night, when i just hit trace, i added fragrance oils, pumice and color and it solidified in the pot almost instantly when i started to blend. what happened? i've made about 10 batches of CP soap and never seen it happen this quick. did the temperatures of the fragrance oils...

    what's a good way to seal up soap packaged in paper? clear tape just won't cut in any more. regular elmer's or a glue stick seems like it won't be strong enough?

    that makes sense, thanks. any pros/cons when it comes to cutting? what's worse, or more common: drag marks when cutting soaps made log style vs. marks from removing the dividers?

    what are the pros/cons of a log mold vs. the flatter ones with individual dividers? other than not having to cut each bar, are there any other things i should be considering?
