This is only the second time I've used titanium dioxide. It's actually whiter than the pic shows. Not bad, haven't cleaned the edges up Sandalwood.

I was always confused on that as well buying molds. I recently bought a new one that was advertised as 3 lbs. So I filled it with water and got 48oz so...3 lb batch.

They both went through gel stage. I'm thinking it could be FO? Not sure but I'm not using palm and my last two batches are fine. I did soap at a lower temp than I normally do. I like to be at about 110. I'm going to try Hot Process for the first time, I've been watching every video out there...

I made two batches of soap with palm oil which I rarely use and both got soda ash. The last few batches I used lard and they're perfect. Anyone else notice that?

Seems high but then again that's a big batch of soap. I go by recommended amounts of manufacturer. I used nature's garden and they tell how much. I've started using EO now and I'm going too light i think but I don't want it to bother people's skin if they're sensitive.

Well, I tried the small snack size Pringle cans I had six of them. Soap was too hot for these type cans because some of the lining came off onto the soap. Also heres how it looks.

I went thru Andrew so I understand. My son & his family flew from Tucson to Miami last night and the plane was delayed and then they went through the storm and barely landed on the runway. Scary.

I'm still relatively new to soaping, I've wanted to make shampoo bars as well but ones I've bought leave my hair dry or a film on it. I work with weights not percentage (I'm horrible at math) so when I figure this out I'm going to try it.
