I attempted a charcoal bar, but after three days of curing these bars are still not hard enough to pull out of their molds. They're kind of tacky and while I can pick them up and hold them, if I apply any pressure they would mush. Is my batch dead?

It whitenes things. I get that. Can it be used in M&P AND in Cold Process? And lets say I'm doing M&P... why couldn't I just do an imbed using a white base and do the outter part in a glycerine? Why go through the trouble and expense of using titanium dioxide to whiten?

Now that I have mastered my base recipe, how do I determine how much EO, FO or herbs to add? I want to make something licorice-smelling, but have no idea how to determine how much of a thing to add. I'd like to add fennel seeds in addition to my EO and FOs.
