Well i did it, after the discussion in this thread: http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?t=52250&page=3 i went ahead and made a 100% coconut oil salt bar but instead of using regular salt i used sodium citrate. i made a small test bar with 50g of coconut oil, 5% superfat and a 40% lye...

Is it possible to make a soap out of 100% essential oil and no other oils? has it been done? im not going to try since it would be a gigantic waste of money, but i was just wondering if its at all possible.. :grin:

i've heard good things about avocado oil/butter in soap and wanted to test it out, i want to make an all cocoa/avocado butter soap, what do you think about this simple 50/50 recipe? would it produce any lather? what properties would you suppose the final soap have?

Just got my hands on some cocoa butter, i have yet to use this in soap and i have no idea how it behaves, is its drying at higher %? does it discolor the soap? does it harden it? what benefits does it offer in the soap? same as shea? any info would be appreciated. :grin:
