A good reason to keep soap diaries!

I am a hobbyist who foists her soap on everyone. Up until recently that is. The last few months, I've been asked for specific soaps. A few days ago, I was asked for a soap that I barely remember making. The person sent me a picture of it, and I do recall that was something like my 5th batch...

I haven't used lard before, but one of my employees mentioned that her skin is excessively dry in winter, so I decided to make a 1 lb batch. I read another post where someone mentioned an 80% lard batch was one of her favorites for dry skin, so I tried this: 80% lard 15% coconut 5% canola...

Still feel like a newbie after three years!

Hello! I started making soap as a hobbyist about three years ago, starting out with HP then falling in love with CP. Even though I've learned a lot in that time, I feel there is SO much more to learn, so I consider myself an experienced newbie. (Does that even make sense? LOL.) About two...

    Cupcake soap

Hi! My soap making experience includes soaps made with natural ingredients, such as oatmeal, honey, milk, tomato sauce, salt, etc. I am now interested in making soaps that look like baked items. I am planning on making cupcake soaps tomorrow, and have looked at several youtube videos. I...
