Hi guys, I have a question regarding Bath Scrubs I have been walking around for, for some time now. Will botanicals in your (oil based) salt/sugar scrub will turn brown? I have been testing for a while now (several weeks) and I haven't found any issues so far. Experiences? Thanks...

Too much mica and try some rubbing alcohol (between layers) next time. :)

Today I'm giving it my second try for the Soapmaking Challenge. :) I was pretty happy with the first one but I'm going to make some improvements to my design. Love the theme of this month.

I'm so nervous about this challenge. :crazy: It's the first time I'm entering such a ting. And I've made it pretty hard on myself, haha.. I have set everything up and I'm getting started soon. I am too, going on a holiday from Thursday on, so I don't have many opportunities to try! So excited!!

Just line it with freezer paper and you should be able to pop it out immediately! Push it out through the other end, don't pull.

I think it's indeed still working on the saponification process. I did calculate a nice solid recipe with a nice hardness so that must be it. It's not zappy. We'll see! I'm not completely lost, haha. I'm just going to try again since it's needs to cure for a while.. I've got some great designs...

Jup. I use Avery as well. Just go to your nearest Office shop (in Australia I use Officeworks). And you should find tons of labels you can try. Just bring a sample lip balm tube with you. :)

Hmm. Shipping to Sydney is $44. That's a lot. But still cheaper than ASS. I do have a couple of heavy containers so that's obviously what is making it so expensive. Maybe co-op next time, Relle? :)
