    Coffee soap

Yep. I read that a lot of people brew double or triple strength coffee for coffee soap but o just used regular strength.

    Coffee soap

Thanks! It turned out pretty good! The grounds are a pretty good exfoliant, but honestly, I would use less next time. Otherwise it's a great soap!

    Fourth time's a charm!

Yeah, the white part is the goat milk part. The other part is uncolored.

    Fourth time's a charm!

Well, I think my forth batch is my best yet! Of course, this statement is prior to testing the batch! Here's what I did: 60% Lard, 15% OO, 15% CO, 10% Castor Added about 0.5oz almond FO. At light trace, I divided the batch in half. Poured 1/2 into mould. Added 0.5 cups powdered goat's milk to...

    Lard soap

Haha! No problem, that video had me rolling! That was hilarious narration! As for the soap, I am using just goat milk and it will be almond scented. I suppose the name "almond goat milk soap" isn't particularly clear.

    Lard soap

Well, I should get my lard delivered tomorrow so I can make my first lard batch of soap. I am thinking about doing an almond goat milk soap. I'm looking forward to my first lard batch!

That looks really good! Nice job!

    Coffee soap

Thanks! I put in a half cup of grounds for 30 ounces of oils. It was a small test batch to see if I like the grounds in soap.

    1st timer

Well, it is allegedly a straight apple FO, but who knows, maybe vanilla was added. I will check on that. Thanks!

    1st timer

It just seems strange that it happened after being exposed to air and it wasn't every bar, just most.

    1st timer

    Anyone got any ideas?

    1st timer

Thanks everyone! Ok , so I went and looked at the bars after an hour or so, now the white has a red tint to it. It's not all the bars, but most. What would cause this? The colorant is not supposed to bleed.

    1st timer

Ok, so this batch had a couple of firsts for me. It was my first time adding goats milk. It was also my first time using any colorant, which means it was also my first attempt at a swirl. I used an apple FO. When I cut it, it had a funky odor, like maybe almost an ammonia odor. Is that from the...

    Lining a soap mold

Lol! Thanks for asking, I was also wondering how to line a mold with a binder! I'm interested in seeing the pictures. Anything that would prevent me from having to line a mold with freezer paper or parchment paper every time! That is tedious.
