    Bath Bomb

I have been making personal use bath bombs for a while. I am looking to adding them to my line for craft shows. I have great micas already and have heard mixed review as to if they would work for bombs. Can I get your expert opinions?

    Cure time

I have some soap about a week old that passes the zap test fine. I am thinking of packaging a few small bars as gifts to friends at a bed and breakfast retreat we are going to. The bars are less than a half inch thick, two inches tall, and 2 and a half inch wide. Will their small size...

    Lets talk about LARD

I currently create my soaps using Palm Oil. I buy sustainably but am concerned about the environmental impact from harvest. Lets talk about lard and its impact on your recipe and sales.

    Humidity and cutting

Spring is here and the humidity is rising. When you make soaps during humid days do you do something special to speed up curing or do you just give it a little longer. Also, when I cut my soaps (about a week after creation) I get drag marks. How do I reduce that. A wet blade is somewhat...

    sticky sticky recipe

I made a recipe and love the way it is after it is cut and cured. It is moisturizing with a good lather. It is rich and creamy. The problem is it takes WEEKS to be able to even cut it. It is s oooo sticky. If I cut to many slices into the loaf it is mushy even a week later. I end up making...

You know there's a sale today at WSP, right?

Was very disappointed with my first transaction so far with them. I ordered on sale day and they quoted five to seven days processing. Now I got an email saying it will be sent out sometime next week. I know they were busy because of the sale but..... two weeks processing time?!?!?!

    Shrink wrap

So you drop the soap in the bag, seal it with the impulse sealer and then shrink it with the heat gun?

    Shrink wrap

I really like the thought of doing shrink wrap to keep my soaps clean and help them look more professional. My father in law just made me wooden molds for some silicone loaf pans I bought so that I can really go into production and get soaps of consistent size. How do I decide what kind of...

    Soap crumble and crack

I used a soap recipie of olive oil, coconut oil, palm kernal oil and shea. For scents I used orange essential oil, lemongrass essential oil and a couple drops of clove. The scent is beautiful but the bars crumbled around the edges then cracked. Any ideas what caused this?

    recipie fail

So I am thinking of doing a crock pot rebatch and just using the oil and a touch of distilled h2o as my liquid. Would that work?

    recipie fail

I r eciently tried a new recipie trying to make a whiter soap. I was pretty successful and proud of myself but when went back hours later I realized I had forgotten 10 oz of olive oil in a 5 lb batch. Now when I created the recipie I super fat at 6 percent. When I rerun the recipie without...
