Can I freeze my hemp oil?

I purchased the 7 lb bottle of hemp oil from soaperschoice. Is it okay to freeze it in smaller bottles so it keeps longer? I'm afraid I can't use it up fast enough. I currently have it in the fridge, but would like to freeze it if possible.

    Lard soap looks translucent

This is the first time I've seen my 100% lard (Walmart Armour lard) soap look so translucent. I poured it into the silicone mold at emulsion because the last time I made it, I soaped it too cool and it turned into a sludge mess that I had to rebatch. This time, I soaped it warm and poured at...

Is Celandine Herb the same as jewelweed?

Is Celandine Herb the same as jewelweed? On this site, http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/category/celandine-herb/ , they are calling it jewel weed. Just wondering if I purchased the right stuff?

    Patchouli Rose FO?

I have a customer asking about a Patchouli Rose soap. Is there a fragrance oil somewhere, someplace or should I mix my own? I have Patchouli essential oil, but not fragrance oil. If I mix my own, I'm assuming the Patchouli would quickly overpower the rose?

Add frosting or trim after soap is finished?

Is it possible to add frosting or melt and pour trims to a soap after it is finished, like the next day? I'm thinking if you scrape the top a little to make groves and then spray with alcohol, it might work?

    Small silicone molds

I might be getting a wholesale customer with an overnight rental cottage. I don't have any soap molds that are small enough for this type of soap bar. I like the soft silicone molds that the soap practically jumps out of when you turn it over! LOL! Anyone here have any ideas for a mold? I...

Cost increase of olive oil at Sam's Club

I asked my hubby to pick up a couple gallon jugs of olive oil from Sam's yesterday. The cost was $15.98. Last time I bought them at Sam's, they were $14.98. That was about 5 months ago. Is this price increase just for Arkansas or everywhere?

    Oils to refrigerate?

I am refrigerating my shea butter and my hemp oil. Should I also be refrigerating the avocado oil and rice bran oils? I only purchase the 7 lb jug from Soapers Choice, so I don't have a lot sitting around, but it will still be here for a few months. I'll be looking for a new refrig if I have...

    Titanium spots?

This recent soap, using Kumquat FO from BB, appears to have TD spots. How can that be when the TD I use has been dispersed in water for weeks before squirting it in the batter? I always shake it up very well before using. I've used it in other batches with different FO and haven't seen these...

I purchased the Vanilla Select Fragrance Oil from BB a few weeks ago and haven't used it yet. Is this good all by itself in CP or is it better mixed with something else? Terry

    Dandelion infused olive oil

I didn't let my fresh dandelions sit overnite before i put them in olive oil and heated gently for a few hours. Did I mess up? Will the olive oil still be usable? Will there be too much water in the oil?

I don't see many recent comments on favorite bases for lotion. There are so many available! Do you have a favorite that you just add FO to?

Which MP colorant for CP embeds?

I've searched and searched and can't find any recent answers to this question. I want to color some M&P to use on top of my CP soaps, like fruits and such. I have micas from Nuture and some liquid colors I bought years ago. It's been so long since I used any M&P that I have no idea what is best...

    LGBT Soap?

Has anyone tried to make an LGBT soap with the six colors, probably using the tall skinny mold? If you have, can you give me a hint as to what recipe to use so I have time to pour all six colors before it turns into cement? LOL!

    Overcoming fast acceleration

I've been testing some of my FOs that I bought several years ago. I make a one pound CP loaf using castor, coconut, olive, palm and avocado oil. One of my favorite FOs seized up real quick and I'd like to try it again with a different formulation. I think I've read that castor can make an FO...

I have some Applejack & Peel that I bought long ago from Tony's Fragrance Oils. I don't think they are around any longer. When this is gone, can anyone recommend a good one that behaves in CP? Terry

Canola oil, never opened, how long would it be good?

I just realized I had an unopened jug of canola oil. It was still sealed. It has a use before date of 2007! It tastes okay, but is that any way to check it? Do you think it can still be good?

    Individual mold suggestions

I have this mold, http://www.bulkapothecary.com/silicone-rectangle-soap-mold-12-cavity.html , and like it. I've used it for a couple of different soaps and for salt bars. Do you have individual molds you really like? I have quite a few milky way molds packed away from when I did melt and...

Problem, sodium lactate or titanium oxide or ??

I made a batch of soap a several weeks ago, using castor, coconut, olive, shea butter and avocado oils. I added 1 oz of goat milk powder, 2 1/2 tsp sodium lactate and 1/3 tsp TD. Also tangerine spice FO and desert sun mica. It was a 46 ounce oil recipe. I probably used the CPOP method...
