What does your house smell like right now?

Tried out a new "chocolate" scent but it smells like "tootsie rolls" Not sure how I feel about it

Help with what I screwed up please

I was at a course this weekend and remember the teacher saying that some FO's will quicken when used with Palm oil. If you want more time for adding colors, try soybean oil instead

    NG's Fo are they stronger?

New to the forum but I've been making soap for about a year. What does "NG" stand for? I know the other companies, but I'm always looking for nice less costly alternatives. Thanks

    Leather / Tobacco fragrance

I love these "off" scents. I made a batch of tobacco & bay leaf and it smells awesome. People at the fair were turned off by the name but loved the scent. I need to call it something else I guess. :)

    Craft shows & introversion

I have dairy goats. It doesn't get any fresher than that! It's actually how I got into making soap & lotion. I had so much milk I had to figure out what to do with it :)

    Craft shows & introversion

I was at a fair yesterday and there were two other soapers there. I was the only one with goats milk soap though. The majority of vendors were types of jewelry

    Waterproofing Product Labels

Buy, print, cover....that's a lot of steps. Just order the labels from uprinting :)

    Waterproofing Product Labels

250 is the minimum. Depending on your label size, you can get 2" x 2" for $30.31 go to uprinting.com choose stickers and labels, choose cut to size, then you can pick your size and select '4 mil white vinyl high gloss' for the sticker. It will tell you how much and then you upload your design...

    Wrapping Cured Soap

I wrap and leave it. The only slight problem I've noticed is that if the bars dry a little more, they shrink and the band gets loose

    Waterproofing Product Labels

Uprinting.com has very nice waterproof labels. You design, they print. I use them for my lotion bottles and the price is excellent

You know you're a crazy soap person when...

sure was! Had to hand whisk for about 5 mins. Good thing I have nice forearm muscles from milking my goats. Lol

Would You Still Buy The Product?

There's a soaper at the farmers market I attend occasionally. Mine is goats milk, hers is not. We trade bars every now and then :)

How do you like my display?

I got this banner from printrunner, cheap and quick. I try to use a different tablecloth that coordinates with the seasons. I like your setup!

    Liquid oozing out

I ended up chopping up this batch and putting it in the oven at 250 for an hour. It gelled, I mixed and poured. Looks pretty good today. I didn't have luck when I tried the crockpot method once before. I read about oven heating on another page

    Liquid oozing out

I had a problem similar just yesterday. My last three batches have an oil layer near the top. I haven't changed anything and can't figure out what's wrong. Here's a pic....is this how yours looks too?

    Separation?

The batch I put in the fridge separated also. Does coconut oil go bad? It smells ok. The only thing I noticed different is it's loose in the bucket instead of solid It's the 76 melt and I just figured it loosened since it's been hot and humid I made a few batches last week that came out...

    Separation?

Thanks. I was mid-pour on the third batch when I noticed the second batch looked funny. I put this newest batch in the fridge, so hopefully it'll be ok. Ugh! Pumpkin soap mishap is heating in the oven. It smells so awesome I hate to waste it :(
