Thank you both for the replies, I guess I will skip trying it. Lisamaliga, I usually do use Jewelweed and/or Loosestrife infused with olive oil, or other plants depending on what the soap is for. I just figured baby oil has so many uses it would work great in soap... I guess not lol

WOW!! That is amazing!! Nothing I love more then to see the medical properties of plants being used. Jewel weed is one of my favorite plants, Loosestrife works well with it too

This might be a silly question but I figure it can't hurt to ask. Usually I add a little olive oil that I infused with this or that, but have been wondering if baby oil would work in soap? I'm not even sure if plants can be infused in it, but I have been thinking of making a recipe for a soap...

I am no expert, very new to soap making. But I would try infusing a few vanilla beans in oil. The soap should hold the fragrance from the oil, and then you can use the left over pods and seeds for cooking... that way nothing goes to waste. Those beans are not cheap. Or you could dry the pods out...

I have started using a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 1" mold. Any suggestions on how I could package each soap bar, and where I could buy the packaging online? (I live in Canada) I have been trying to find soap boxes but have had no luck finding this size. Thinking about going with a shrink wrap instead
