Looking to mimic a scent of incense

the earthbound trading company has a scent that I really like called love. earthbound is a good distance from me so I don't get to make my way out there all that much. This morning I was having the SO smell a couple new scents and give me his opinion on which size bar he liked better. I have a short and stumpy bar then a longer skinnier bar. He did not like the taller bar. Now Im paranoid. Will a too thin bar waste away faster? They both weigh...

    Selling partially gelled soap

I know it's fine to use but customers, how do they feel about it? I took a mold of oatmeal and lavender goat milk soap out too early and it partially gelled. It's about a week later and it's noticeable. Does anyone sell partially gelled soap? Should i rebatch (will the oatmeal be a problem)?

Lavender Oatmeal Goat Milk trouble shooting

So I've made this a few times before no problem. This time something went wrong. The sides and the bottom are a mixture of an orangey-red. The top is your normal color. I added lye to the frozen milk and it was a yellowish color when added to the oils. Everything was normal when i...

    Critique my etsy shop?

Eeeeeee! I'm so excited! It was a new years goal of mine to open shop. I know that sounds really easy, but I am so afraid of failing, harsh judgments, ridicule, etc etc. With the year coming to a close I saw my goal slowly slipping away so Thursday I bit the bullet and posted my first few...

    Pumpkin Soap - Help

I'd like to use pumpkin puree to make some soap. I'd also like it to smell like a traditional pumpkin pie/spice/type scent - with all natural. Is there a way to use the actual spices (cover, ginger, nutmeg, etc) instead of investing in all those essential oils to create the scent? When I...

    Melting bees wax separate

Melting it down with oils causes the heat to get too high. I know I can double boil, but when I go to pour it it sticks to the sides, thus leaving me with a mess and lost weight. What have y'all done to over come this?

    Naming your business
