    100% Palm Oil Soap???

I came across a bar recently that's made with only palm oil as the fat. I've done pure CO with 20% SF. Would the palm oil recipe be similar? The bar is ridiculously amazing and I'm inclined to try it. Anyone try this before? I haven't read anything about it yet...

    Questions RE: Lip Balms...

Do you use more than 10% butters in your recipes? I've read that's the max you want to use to avoid graininess...

    Questions RE: Lip Balms...

If you use butters at all in your lip balms, and don't temper the butters when making them, graininess can happen. It can also re-occur when the lip balm is exposed to extreme temperature changes. I have had this happen to mine by just leaving it in the car overnight. After a lot of research and...

    Cinnamon EO in CP Soap

I've totally gone overboard with cinnamon before. My biggest recommendation is to use it as a hand, body, and foot soap... and NOT on your face. I don't let people use it that have overly sensitive skin, just to protect them when they're over. I often have various soap in the guest bath. Love...

    Salt Bars: Rebatch Success!

And, in case you're wondering what happened when I tried rebatching in the crock pot... The results are in this image... A crumbly mess... They kinda held together, until I cut them. This would be fine to turn into soap socks, but I had about 3 quarts of it!!!

    Salt Bars: Rebatch Success!

@obsidian Thank you for the tip to grate! I posted in the other thread, but considering my excitement over this victory, I thought this earned a "success" in it's title... LOL

    Salt Bars: Rebatch Success!

How I successfully rebatched my Salt Bars: yay! I'm so excited!!! 1. Do NOT use a crock pot like you would for regular rebatching. (You'll water out the salt and end up with a giant crumbly mess.) 2. Use a grater on the finest grate side available. (Some people dry it and grind it to a powder...

    Salt Bars: Rebatch Success!

Woo Hoo!!! So excited! I know there are a lot of salt bar rebatching failures (I've had several), so I wanted to share a success story! (It took me three tries, and a tip from Obsidian to grate - thank you! BTW). See below for tips on what helped me, and a photo. :)
