    CP soap as shampoo

I started making my own soap because of the results I had with shampoo bars I had purchased. My hair was/is healthier. My scalp no longer breaks out and I am not always scratching my head. I have not experienced more fall out since using the bars.

    Prices much too low.

If I were to sell at this point, I would only be interested in funding my hobby. A prifit would not be necessary. Maybe this is why some sell their products cheaper. Right now my soap only goes to family and friends as a freebie.

Do you strain your lye solution?

When you strain the solution and get remnants of the lye, does this mean you have a slightly higher superfat? If not all the lye dissolves, that would mean your solution is a bit weaker. I am just trying to put this info correctly in my head.

    How important is temperature?

My first batch of soap was 20+ years ago as a home school project. It was a container of Crisco a pound if lye and water. The instructions had me combine everything in a stainlesd steel pot and the heat from the lye melted the shortening. Things sure have changed.

    Majestic Mountain Sage

Just wondering what everyone's experiences have been with MMS. I placed a somewhat large order with them today. I was impressed with their CS. I also called Jedwards and was put off. These two companies had everything I wanted to order but Jedwards were OOS of almost half.
