    FO amount for powdered laundry

I made some homemade powdered laundry soap. Wondering how much fragrance oil to add per lb of powder? I have a store named buff city soap near me and they add it after the fact but I don't know how much they use and it sticks through the laundry cycle.

    Adding FO to laundry soap

So there is a place near me called buff city soap. They make your laundry soap on site and add whatever fragrance you like. I have been making my own laundry soap(Heavy lye coconut oil only soap), borax, washing soda, citric acid, oxiclean. But I never add any fragrance because to me the...

    Tool suggestion

Has anyone come up with a way other than stick blending? I was wanting something a little less hands on. I was thinking like a tumbler with something in the middle to agitate it?

    Dilution

Well thickness. Strange thing is when you read a body wash from the store it sometimes has both koh and Naoh. The soap I just had was supppppper thick. So it seems I may just be doing this from now on. I actually used 1 part naoh to 2 parts koh. It actually turned out great.

    Dilution

Has anyone tried to use like 90% koh and 10% Naoh? I just did this and will wait to see the results but was curious if anyone else tried it.

    Dilution

Benefits of thickness. I can't find the article now, of course. I use distilled water at the dilution and it worked fine. But I read either full glycerin or half and half for dilution. I may try it and give it a go. Who doesn't always need more soap!

    Time to add scent

When is the best time to add scent. I made a fir/orange castille soap and that worked out fine adding during dilution. I had a fragrance oil that warped its smell when putting it in during dilution. Does the heat make a difference? I always thought it should be when its a little warmer than...

    Laundry soap

Citric acid would bring towards an acid on the pH scale. I think you would want more of a base to clean

    Laundry soap

I do -5% and never have an issue with excess lye. It goes away eventually. I still use %100 tallow for stain sticks and 50-50 tallow, CO for laundry soap.

    Supporting a Tube Mold Upright

I had an old shipping box and some left over rock from an aquarium... I put the PVC in and fill rock around it. Pretty easy. I like the box idea though!

How do you calm lye phobics

Ha. Do what I did when I had a fear and accidentally splash some soap batter on yourself and realize that the tingle is not so bad and then calmly pour vinegar over it.

Purity of lye and laundry soap

laundry soap i have found out works better with excess lye. I always tend to think if you are trying to remove grease and dirt, why have excess fat in the soap and therefore in the water? you should be fine. but like everyone else said, you can try to use regular body bars. I have used ivory...
