    Question about rebatching

I've searched on this site and read lots on rebatching but haven't found an answer to this question. I am going to rebatch some soap I made yesterday. I didn't realize until too late that I had misread the instructions and not added enough olive oil. I was 5 oz. short, so it is lye-heavy. So...

Is this soap going to be useable?

It actually came out of the mold beautifully. It's firm and smells and looks great. It's apple cinnamon scented and I swirled it with white (well, off white lol) and pink australian clay -so sort of a reddish brown. How much is too much lye?

Is this soap going to be useable?

I ran it through soapcalc and got the same result. So, too much lye. I guess I should think about rebatching it

Is this soap going to be useable?

Still a newbie. Sigh, I misread the amounts of oils to put in and I used the following: 4.8 oz. coconut oil 4.8 oz. palm oil 9 oz. olive oil (should have been 14.4) 3.32 oz. lye 6 oz. water. It came to trace very quickly, and I couldn't figure out why there wasn't as much soap as usual when I...

    First Batch

Successful unmolding and cutting of my very first batch of handmade soap! Took a little longer to set than I expected, and I sure learned a lot during the process. It's a lavender citrus scent, but I used essential oils because that's all I had, and already the smell is fading.:-( But I'm...
