    Buying Bulk EO/FO

I was just wondering if anyone has used candlesandsupplies.net for FO. Their prices are pretty good, and I like their selection. I make soap and am hoping this fragrance oil would suffice for CP soap. At the very least, I do plan to use their FO for candles. I'm just wondering if it's worth it...

Pigment not soluble in oil or water

Of course! I haven't been on here in so long...I should've known the answer to that. Thanks! I think it's pigment by Dr. Adorable

Pigment not soluble in oil or water

Okay...so I made a little oopsie. I went ahead and bought some gorgeous pigment I couldn't resist, only to find out it isn't soluble into water or oil. Does anyone have any idea what I could dissolve it into? Would it be insoluble still, if I added it straight into my CP soap base?

    Bulk Containers

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good place online to buy bulk containers. More specifically, I am looking for plastic jars, preferably white and 8oz. The cheapest place I could find was on bottlesetc.com, at about $1 per 8oz jar, which included shipping and tax. I haven't used this site...

    Salt Bar emergency

Seven, my 100% lard salt bar didn't turn out. It was literally a block of plastic as someone had stated! Lol. I assumed i just made an error(which i did!) But the one I made with 100% olive oil, (I believe it was olive), turned out fine, and I use them regularly, as does my boyfriend. But i also...

    Salt Bar emergency

Okay. I got it now! I didn't know the oils made a difference. I got that recipe from a lard-based soaper. Thanks for all the tips guys. I'm quite the n00b, so I'm sure ill be back! Thanks!

    Salt Bar emergency

Not lye heavy. Got the ratio from an experienced soaper. Been using it for a while myself without problem. Nice tip on the coconut oil. I made a salt bar with olive oil a few months ago, and one with lard, so i never considered using coconut oil. Next time :) thanks for the tip.

    Salt Bar emergency

Okay, so I used the same old ratio as always, 2lbs oil, 4.4oz lye, 7oz water, which has always worked. I used solely sunflower oil for the first 2lb batch, which I've never used before. Maybe that's it? The second 2lb batch was a mix of sunflower oil and olive oil. And a splash of lemongrass...

    Salt Bar emergency

So I made 4lbs of salt bars almost 20 hours ago and they haven't set up. They're the texture of pudding still! Any suggestions? I don't want to lose 4lbs of soap.

    Salt bars failed swirl.

I'm always short on colors and EOs, so none of my soaps ever match when it comes to scent and color. Oh well! :)

    It's been too long

I got back from vacation a couple weeks ago from Disney World. While there I bought a Mickey head mold. I used melt and pour for these, since they're so small and I just didn't feel like playing around. I made "Soarin' Citrus" and the white is vanilla. My second batch was my usual cold...
