I used energy fragrance oil, and it was added to all colors.

I used aloe from the store in a jug. I used a little over a TBLSP of charcoal to approx 1.5# of soap batter. Maybe the charcoal sucked up the water more than the TD and micas. I've only used aloe one other time but it didn't congeal the first time. That kind of freaked me out.

I did use oil from the recipe. I have never had to wait that long to unmold either. Usually it's 24 hours later. It is possible that I used less oil for charcoal. I don't know, but I really didn't use much for any of the colors as it was only a 4 lb batch.

I will be doing my first milk soap tomorrow. I'm freezing the milk, at which temperature should I soap the lye/milk and oils at? I will be putting in freezer afterward. Any other tips or tricks?

Lenarnee, I just used a clothing steamer. I use it on all my soaps.

I use that same mold and was having a hard time getting a full gel, so I put my mold in a glass baking dish and set on top of a heating pad set on low overnight with a towel over the whole thing. No problems with bubbles or overheating. Are you soaping at 110* or less? Are you banging your mold...

I was having trouble reaching a full gel with my 2lb. Silicone mold. Now I use a heating pad set on low, and cover top with a piece of thin styrofoam and finally a bath towel. No more probs! Full gel every time. Also I leave heat pad on for aprox 24 hours.

My Sensuous Sandalwood held very well in my cp. I also used red and blonde sandalwood powder, so maybe that helped. Left a very, very light scrubby feel.

Do you think if I put in freezer, I will end up with partial gel? I don't want that either. Do you cover your soap in freezer? I haven't done that before.
