    Bath Tea Bags

I've used WSP bags and dried botanicals. I like their large bags. I've also filled them with milk, oatmeal, and clay. You can also use local plants. Not sure what grows where you live, but so many "weeds" and flowers are medicinal and therapeutic (just be sure to do plenty of research...

    New Crafter needs some help

If it were me I would avoid tanning....not only could it irritate the scar tissue, but getting to the point where you burn and peel repeatedly can cause severe damage to your skin (besides the risk for developing skin cancer). Also, scars don't tan so it would probably make them stand out even...

    Raspberry swirl

This was poured at a pretty thick trace, then I "fluffed" the top a bit with a wide craft (popsicle) stick.

    What's in your shower now?

Ummm, I have about 15 different soaps. About half are full bars, half are loaf end pieces. I like a variety!

    New Crafter needs some help

I agree that a leave on formula would be a lot more beneficial to your scars than something that you wash off. Even just softening up the cocoa butter and rubbing it on would help. Oils don't always exhibit the same properties once they've been turned into soap, the perfect example being...

    New Crafter needs some help

Before you make another batch with your expensive oils do a search for how to make cp soap. There's a lot more to it than just tossing lye into oil. Read as much as you can until you understand the process (and the safety requirements involved). Good luck!

    Cheese Slicer

I glued down a piece of quarter round molding to keep the soap from sliding. Works perfectly!

How many ingredients do you use in your recipes?

I usually use 4 or 5...the only time I use more is when I'm trying to use up oils.

    Inspiration

As long as you use a soft wool fiber they are really nice! As you use the soap the wool shrinks down with the bar and once the soap is completely used you end up with a smallish piece of tightly felted wool that you can use as a face scrubby or cut open and have a little mini purse/pouch (great...

Using herbal tinctures in soap making.

Tinctures are either alcohol or glycerin based. You could theoretically use a glycerin tincture, but I don't see why. Tinctures are internal medicine so it'd basically be the herbal version of aspirin soap. You'd be better off getting herbs and making infusions.

    Occasional Fail

I like it when this happens in my soaps...I think it's a cool effect!
