Ahhhh I am still torn on buying soapmaking software! I think my big thing w. SM3 is that it's annoying to figure out how to add soy/coconut/goat milk -- like you have to add them as an additive... How would you handle that in terms of work arounds?

An easy way to get some color and scents is to use tea -- like I have some green tea bags and chamomile tea bags in my coconut oil bucket seeping in and I often use tea in place of water for my lye mixture.

That is genius! I was going to ask a similar question.. The two year old wanted to help this weekend and accidentally knocked over two pounds of soap in an attempt to blow on them so they could be "fun for bathies" faster. Maybe shoe boxes will keep them out of sight enough that she won't get...

How do you avoid gelling the soap? Like, should I not insulate the soap molds? Or use smaller ones instead of my loaf molds? Eta: my loaf molds are wooden two pounders... So not super big. My other molds are cute silicone ones, like flower and star shaped

Too much castor oil will mess up your soap. It's too soft and can go rancid
