Which makes a LOT of sense biologically since most "tastes" (aside the 5 basic ones) are actually conveyed by the olfactory system (as the recognize apple from onion while having a bad cold experiment shows). :-)

Thank you all. I vastly prefer edible stuff to use as colorants and so will try both cocoa and coffee. I was wondering if you use them as colorants in the soap mix at thin trace or if you used their water solution as the media to dissolve the lye.

Can I use coffee or chocolate poweder to obtain a nice brown colour ? Directions please ? Should I brew a choco or coffee drink and use it in place of the water ? Thanks for any help.
