    Blue shampoo bar

I have a good shampoo bar that I scent with tea tree and color with nettle. I'd like to do one with a natural herbal blue color for grey/white hair. I have Indigo but I'm afraid it might turn into a little old blue hair lady soap. I see that Blue Malva is used in shampoos but I don't know how...

    Soap scraps!

I save my scraps, roll them into balls and put them in small mesh bags with our church's logo and other information and donate them to the local food pantry.

Wooot! Bud Cutter coming my way!!

Nice video. I have the red metal soap cutter from Essential Depot and several of the molds with the wire racks. It's so nice to have that uniformity. I love it.

    Dilema

How do you folks handle shipping costs? Do you charge a handling fee? I'm just starting out with my business and decided to go with a flat rate of $10.00 for shipping but I can see that I will go broke soon if I don't charge more. Currently I'm using USPS flat rate boxes but because I offer...

    Please critique

Thanks. I have a lot of good suggestions and the good thing is that I will always be editing it. You hate to get too wordy but listing ingredients isn't too much to expect.

    Collecting Sales Tax

I live in NYS and am under the impression that you pay sales tax where the seller is physically located. If I'm at a craft fair I charge tax from the county I am in. If I'm shipping from my home I charge the 8% for Niagara County. I'm very fortunate to have a son in law who's a tax professional.

How many batches have you made this year?

Over 75 batches. I always make 2-3 batches at a time and make soap 1-2 days a week. I donate to the local food pantry too.

    Me too, please!!!

Great idea. I have it on my phone. I don't know how many shows I will do but I want to be prepared. The banner was well worth the money and at the show I cleared $300 for a show that had about 100 attendees and only 8 booths and lasted for 3 hours. Thanks for your feedback.

    Me too, please!!!

I did a dress rehearsal in my basement for a very small show I was in last week. I think my table looks good but I know it can always be better. One very good thing about doing a small show is getting a feel for what customers like and dislike. Does it look like I have enough product? I...
