I'm having a similar problem. I've made a soap loaf, CP, using olive, palm coconut and castor oils, shea and mango butter. I placed little heart shapes made using clear melt and pour base on top of the CP soap. After 3 days I'm ready to slice my soap loaf but my little hearts seem to be melting...

I too have used lemongrass essential oil, and have also put my soap into the oven. I didn't have any problems with it. My soap had palm oil, olive oil, and coconut oil. I'll look out for any probs next time I use it. Sent from my iPad using Soap Making

Tablet? Maybe it's a Scottish word. It's made with evaporated milk and sugar, heated to a soft ball stage (around 240F), then you beat the c*** out of it till it changes colour. Then you pour it onto a baking tray to cool, and you have yummy tablet :)) Sent from my iPad using Soap Making

I had crumbly soap yesterday. I'd used a recipe with a water discount, and added goats milk powder to my oils. The soap was just too dry. I had to rebatch it last night and add another 5oz water. Cut it today, it's fine. Sent from my iPad using Soap Making

Well I rebatched last night, and realised where I went wrong. A couple of weeks ago, I made my first Castille soap, the recipe I followed used a water discount. When I made my olive oil and goats milk, I used the same recipe forgetting about the water discount :/ I cubed my soap and slung it...

I had to freeze the milk the day before, then mix the frozen milk with the lye, then keep the mixture really cool in the fridge. Mixing the GM...
