What part of 2nd-day air don't you understand

I agree with the previous posters... and I'm gonna name names. I've had missing items and slow slow slow shipping from BB. And it's a shame because they really are king of social media and have really good tutorials & such. They do that so well, and are very slick in their site...

Very nice! These make me think of Unicorns.

I think my temps were too hot....

So... minor update. This soap is curing fine so far (photo), and I did the second half of the batch at 80 degrees and it traced sooooo much slower. I probably could have even swirled it went so slow. ha! low was the way to go.

I think my temps were too hot....

Thanks everyone! I have just never had a trace that quickly-- I had a mind-blown moment. :Kitten Love: I mean... logically knew it was going to be quicker, but seeing it happen? Yea. I don't even think it took a full minute. LOL all I could think was, "no, that can't be right." Depending on how...

I think my temps were too hot....

Forgot to mention... I purposely didn't insulate because it traced so quick. I peeked and the loaf was getting to gel 2 hours in anyway. I have another batch of this to burn through, probably should do as suggested and use fill water, lower temp ... and perhaps a very stable fragrance... ...

I think my temps were too hot....

I'm fairly certain I jumped the gun on mixing, but someone can tell me who has longer experience... Recipe snapshot is attached. I expected a shorter trace because of the fats chosen, but... I combined when oil was at 110 and Lye was at 119.... zero to trace in barely 60 seconds with the...

Supplier Question... or 'My lanolin isn't sheepy and I'm worried'

That's actually what I'm concerned about, actually. It's advertised as the actual wax, USP grade, no filler. However, I'm worried it was cut with another oil/wax by the exporter. I just didn't know if anybody else here had experience specifically with this issue/supplier. :/

Supplier Question... or 'My lanolin isn't sheepy and I'm worried'

I know, I know lol... I just wasn't completely sure I'd get a straight answer. Sometimes you get the 'teenage son of the owner, who is on summer break' (ask me about my kitchen counters sometime... ) Noooooooo..... *DON'T SEE MEEEEE*

Supplier Question... or 'My lanolin isn't sheepy and I'm worried'

IME, Lansinoh is refined so highly (think BEYOND USP) because of the type of use it has (boobs and babies)... that all sheep is removed. The color is actually taken out in the process, it's been so highly refined. I just don't feel like I got a more refined product for less money than a less...

Supplier Question... or 'My lanolin isn't sheepy and I'm worried'

Long time stalker, first time poster... I've ordered USP lanolin in small batches from a few suppliers (Brambleberry, WSP, etc) and they've all had that natural sheepy scent (best way I can describe it ;-) )... I needed much larger qty for a better price, so I went with J Edwards...
