I use Crisp and Dry which is our version of Crisco. The block type, not the oil.

The ingredients on it just say "vegetable oils" - not very helpful I know! But I read online somewhere to treat it as soybean oil and I use the brambleberry lye calculator which has a vegetable shortening box.
