    E-Commerce Hosting Sites?

I am looking for a good e-commerce site to host my business. Right now I have wix but realize after several customers saying it takes too long to load, I experienced that myself today. I have my own domain name so just need the other goodies - cart, site hosting, etc to go with it. I...

    Dental soap

Curious, Ive read through this thread so bare with me if I missed it - what other oil is better used if Coconut oil is soapy tasting. Would it matter if its fractionated coconut oil or Coconut oil 76 that makes it soap tasting?

    Dental soap

It's not so much of putting soap in my mouth but using lye to make soap. I tend to use M&P and rebatch soap so I dont have to mess with lye. In the back of my head I picture doing something wrong and setting off an explosion the size of a nuclear bomb - I know not possible but its my...

    Dental soap

Im not going to lie, I am lye phobic. I would really love to try but that deep fear freezes me. So my question is other than a recipe I found with pure castile soap, coconut oil, EO's and Xylitol - is there another way or recipe? Or should I bite the soap fear and just try it? I'd really...

    Accounting online?

I use GoDaddy's Outright - easy to add sales in, imports all information from accounts and you can go through and put items where they belong. It even gives you a weekly profit email. I really like it and its simple (which is even better for myself).

I've been making a few para - soy wax tarts and want to carry a few in my store. I've been searching around for a place that sells the electric wax tart / oil warmers but they want about the same price as say that big Wmart place wants for them. Does anyone have any links or ideas on where to...

    Processing Calendula

Grain alcohol can be used as well - I believe any high proof alcohol can be used to make extract.

    Processing Calendula

Alcohol is used for extracts because the plant oils you are trying to extract do not easily dissolve in oils. Alcohol will do the trick and it also acts as a preservative. I, myself like the extract better than using oil because some of the products I make do not need extra oils or that oil...

Does Vanilla Oxidize in Melt and Pour soap?

Yup it does, I learned the hard way. So now I have these wonderful tan goats milk M&P that no one seems to want to buy. I may have to just use them my self.

    Processing Calendula

I looked into making Calendula extract a bit ago. But because I am a black thumb and not a green one - I didnt go forward with the plan. So if you wanted to make an extract - these web pages have good info - http://frugallysustainable.com/2013/05/how-to-make-calendula-extract-at-home/...

    How can they do this?

I know that if a product doesnt have water in it, that oils can take 3 to 12 months to spoil - so if you add Vitamin E T50 or another natural oil (rosemary, etc) it slows the oxidize time down. BUT if Lush is not using a perservative, once you open that bottle its going to go down hill quickly...

    where to buy labels

Avery.com makes it real easy to find the labels and design them online.

How much should i price my soap?

Here is how I calculate my profit. If a product cost me $5 to make, I double that for a total of $10 for a distributor cost, the distributor then would double the $10 to $20 for their selling cost to a wholesale, wholesale then marks theirs up to $40 to sell to retail public. So its 400%...

For Those who have a Store, where do you buy your Fixtures?

I do not have a brick and mortar store but use some displays from http://www.azardisplays.com/

    Now what?

:D You guys are the best! Ive been making batches daily and waiting for pouches and labels to come in. Ive also looked into filling machines, better heat sealers and perhaps a small office area to rent for better assembly of my salve. The distributor now wants exclusive New England...

    Now what?

I've got a great potential for a distributor to carry a salve I make for tattoo aftercare. Im freaking out! It will be up at the Boston Tattoo Convention in a few weeks and pending on how the outlook is up there I could be booming. I am the only one who makes the products, my other half helps...
