What do you think of my Christmas Bath Bombs?

That was you? I just saw it. Really shouldnt be up this late after market day. I'm exhausted but I'm also incredibly stubborn and I downloaded a mod to a video game and it messed everything up so I'm trying to fix it without downloading the whole game over again lol. I'll get your order out on...

    Does colored glassine stain?

I think the glassine would work but I do have a suggestion... why not make it a rimmed soap and wrap it in white/transparent glassine? the color will still show through, you can smell through it, it's environmentally friendly, and labels will stick to it. I've started using glassine for my...

    Flat bottom bath bombs

I want one of those bath bomb presses so bad but I can't afford one yet. But the bombs have been fairly popular so I really would be a complete fool not to make and sell them. It's why I'm trying to find an alternative that won't kill my hands. I really hope I'm not developing arthritis.

What do you think of my Christmas Bath Bombs?

I put a 6 inch shrink wrap bag over the top, and snipped a spot for the straw to go through, then sealed it with my heat sealer. Remove the shrink wrap. Since the bomb mix is in powdered form, the solid bubble bath should come off with a little tug or even by just picking it up. There's enough...

What's going on with my recipe?

Hmm, wonder if that explains my problems. I'm soaping too cool? I know the humidity has been much lower lately. I don't cpop. I've found it hurts more than helps. Last time I tried that, I was lucky it didn't volcano all over the bottom of the oven.

What do you think of my Christmas Bath Bombs?

My very first market I sold $140, then it started to average out around $45. I changed to a different market, now I sell around $100 though I broke a sales record last month at $200. It will take time for people to get to know you. At the same market with the record break a girl told me she had...

What's going on with my recipe?

Usually somewhere around 68 or 70 F. Honestly not sure what translates to in celcius since it's been years since I translated between the two. It takes forever for the lye to cool so I usually premix both the night before. I'm just going back to my old recipe. It will be easier. Without the salt.

    +1 for LotionCrafter

I love lotioncrafter. Bit expensive but they are worth it. I'm still waiting for everything I ordered on Black Friday.

What's going on with my recipe?

Ok, I'll stop relying on soapmaker 3 for the calc. I have noticed that it's different from soapcalc and soapmaking friend. I think I'm just going to go back to my old recipe. This new calc is causing me problems.

    Flat bottom bath bombs

I simply cannot use round molds, they get a flat bottom. I tried putting bubble wrap under and I've tried foam. They still go flat. I have 2.5" bombs. If they are other molds, they're fine, it's just the round. Any ideas?

What do you think of my Christmas Bath Bombs?

Well I wasn't expecting that, I was going to sell them at market lol. I only posted here because I wanted opinions. I rather figure I'll have to make more for the weekend after the coming one. Well these are twice as big as I usually do. Normally I only charge $5 and my standard aren't fancy (I...

What's going on with my recipe?

I have been having problems with my recipe. This is the first time I've had a problem in a couple years so I'm not sure whats going on. Humidity is low at this point of the year. It's not the first winter I've been through. I did change the recipe to a 60%hard/40%soft from a 50/50 recipe...

Trial by Fire red mica line?

I've never had trouble with Trial By Fire but I don't like it much. It's a very orange red so I don't consider it a true red.

What do you think of my Christmas Bath Bombs?

I know the pictures aren't great but I literally finished them 10 minutes ago (my kitchen looks like a tornado hit). Bath Powder inside the glasses. Half of these smell like peppermint, the other half smell like peppermint and hot chocolate. On top is solid bubble bath that smells like...

What is on your soapy Christmas list?

$30? $300? I found a stainless steel one for $89. I worked at a deli years ago. I nearly took the tip of my finger off and had to go to emergency.

What is on your soapy Christmas list?

Hehe, I think that's the point. I have a $10 wood one that I hate. I want a better one. I just want the shredder/shooter to make rebatching easier. Last time I had to shred soaps, I shredded a finger with them. I want one that will keep my fingers free.

What is on your soapy Christmas list?

lol, nothing I will get. This past year has been tough. That being said... 1. Bath Bomb press 2. A new canopy with silver reflector to try to cool it down 3. Portable heater/AC for markets 4. A stainless steel table with a shelf 5. Double boiler 6. Salad Shooter or a shredder attachment for my...

Can failed bath bombs be turned into powder?

I decided to crush it into powder, then I added more baking soda and an equal amount of citric. It increase the amount to twice the amount I had originally made, and yet the peppermint eo is still a strong scent. I also added more powdered milk, and cocoa powder to half of the mix. I turned them...
