Emulsifying Wax Separating/Clumping in Final Prodct

You need your water and soap to be as hot as your melted e wax, otherwise when you pour the wax into the cooler liquids, it will solidify.

    Brass stamp discolouring soap!

There are custom stamp makers on etsy. You could have the same design made into a safe acrylic stamp

Where to get tiny little molds?

I got a really tiny seashell mold from wish, they are 1/2" or a little bigger. Takes forever to get a decent amount of embeds, really need 4 or 5 of the molds. Edit: found this on amazon, its about the same size as mine but looks better quality...

Big Trouble Dissolving Caustic Soda Beads

How much water are you using? You need at least equal amounts water to lye by weight to properly dissolve it.

White salt bars, not the prettiest

They look great. I do really like the round ones, interesting patterns.

    Question for those who sell

Not sure others consider it unisex but I've found men and women both like perfect man from NG. Its a mens cologne type but it has a sweet, floral undertone. I'm in the process of narrowing my FOs down to a neccessary few and perfect man is on that list.

    Technical problems - Selling/Buying

I have no issues buying imperfect looking soap as long as the ingredients are to my liking and the soaper can answer basic questions. The only cosmetic issues I stay away from is excess botanicals or scrubby bits. All those flower bits are not going to make your soap nicer or better for you...

    Need help blending stinky FO

The closest I have is dark chocolate, its vanilla heavy so it could work. I might have a little amber too. @dixiedragon No one seems to like it, I can't give the soap I already made away. Wonder what patchouli would do? I do have a nice mint. Guess its experiment day today. I also have a...

    Need help blending stinky FO

I don't know where to start. Something herbal, sweet, tart? I'm not good at blending. I had hoped for a sweet creamy scent, this was not it

    Need help blending stinky FO

I have a 4 oz bottle of Rice Flower & Shea that I absolutely hate but don't want to throw out. I'm wondering what I might be able to blend with it. Its smells very powdery, slightly floral and kinda play doh-y.

    Anise EO from WSP

I never checked usage rates, mine probably had a low usage amount too. I've bought from BB and wsp.

    Anise EO from WSP

I've used it at 3%. It seems to fade relatively quickly so I switched to licorice FO

    Guacamole and Spaghetti sauce

🤣🤣 It looks like moldy spam. It's lighter and pinker irl. I do like the speckles from the cream of wheat.

    Superfat vs high conditioning numbers

That looks like a nice gentle recipe, I would like it. Give it a 6 week cure and see what you think of it

    Guacamole and Spaghetti sauce

Haha, I don't know if thats better or not. Its on gel right now and the red that I can see looks pink. I hope it doesn't turn out too terrible, this is for the guys. Was supposed to be autumn colors

    Guacamole and Spaghetti sauce

Not sure how I feel about these colors, looks like a cooking experiment gone wrong🤣 It's a machanics soap with fine pumice and cream of wheat. Used oxides for the colors. Scented with a blend of Indonesia teakwood and autumn breeze.

Bugs in my Shea Butter! YUK

I've never gotten any with stuff in it either but I know it happens. I switched to refined years ago though so its not a issue

    Trick or Treat

I don't participate in trick or treat anymore. I have a aggressive dog who is terrified of stranger so we just turn out the lights and close the curtains. I usually have to rope off the porch too as kids still stop by. I expect it to be business as usual since most people here act like covid...

This turned out to be an ugly soap.

We are our own worse critics. Dark brown soaps can be lovely, the only reason I'm not fond of them is due to the mess but wouldn't you know, my hubbys favorite scent discolors. @LilianNoir I really like the muted colors and don't stress over the ashy tops, it wash off once you start using the...
