Can we talk about private labeling?

One thing I have done instead of private labeling is create a signature scent for that company, that is only sold there.

Can we talk about private labeling?

Happy New Year to you! You would have to check what's allowable in your area. In Canada, the manufacturer has to be on the label somewhere.

I was really condescended to today and I'm not sure how to deal.

How unfortunate, there will always be people who put down. I see jealousy here. If you were at the same market, perhaps she was afraid you'd sell more than her. I was beside a fellow soap maker at a market whose prices were much higher than mine. She politely said "Don't undersell yourself." The...

I get all my EOs from NDA.

    Pine Essential Oil Recommendations

When I used pine it was always in combination with other scents, thus avoiding the pinesoly scent.

    Pine Essential Oil Recommendations

Yes, I am using fir needle EO now.

    Pine Essential Oil Recommendations

I have used NDA's pine longleaf in CP soap. Performs well.

Anyone put chamomile tea in their soap?

I use 2 tablespoons of loose rooibos tea in 1 lb. 6oz. of water and simmer 20 minutes or more. I make it the day ahead and strain it very well so there's no particulate. Alternatively use 4 tea bags. Actually I use more water because you lose water in simmering. My recipe calls for 1 lb. 6oz...

    Being Eco friendly question

I get this question all the time from my customers. I use glass jars for heavier creams and will take returns on those because they're easy to sterilize, but pumps, no. I could spend all my time cleaning up other people's messes and sterilizing.

    Lye Dipped Bagels & Pretzels

@AliOop and @DeeAnna I knew there had to be an answer to that!! No bagel expert here. Just always thought my mouth gets sore when I eat pretzels because they've been lye dipped!

    Lye Dipped Bagels & Pretzels

You apparently are looking to do it right! :) I make perfectly good Cinnamon raisin bagels without dipping them. Do our stomachs really need lye?

    Ideas to make "aquatic" scent

I should have said "generally " in "my experience" I am not able to do it. Yes I also have an Old Spice one. I would have no idea how to do a baby powder one. Good for you!

    Ideas to make "aquatic" scent

I am not at all familiar with the scents you describe, but I will say it's nearly impossible to use E.O.s to recreate a fragrance. You may come up with something you like but it won't be identical to a certain water fragrance.

The Truth About Lasting Fragrance (Essential Oils)

Oh you poor thing! I have hypoglycemia but FOs don't cause it to drop! When I first started to make soap 19 years ago, there was an essential oil blend I used that made me feel sick. I had to go outside. It doesn't bother me at all now.

The Truth About Lasting Fragrance (Essential Oils)

I can tolerate Georgia Peach, Blood Orange and Meyer Lemon, all from WSP. But keep in mind that everyone's nose and head are different.

The Truth About Lasting Fragrance (Essential Oils)

Yes I do but not to the extreme that it seems you do. I can get through making the soap and then take it to my cousin's house to cure. Only rarely has an essential oil blend done that. I know exactly what you mean by that "lingering synthetic backnote."
