Pretty much what I thought, although my KOH is sealed up pretty tight. I know you can liquid soap 'cold' - just never done it and don't want to waste batches trying it out lol - Maybe one day I will!!! :-P Essential Oils definitely have a big effect and give me a headache :)

I make liquid soap fairly regularly and I follow the same recipe, the same additives in the same location with the same slowcooker! HOWEVER... soaps often come out differently which is annoying. Some are pretty clear (I use a tiny amount of Jojoba so I know it will never be crystal clear)...

It is brand new but I will add that to my list for testing. Try 1% SF perhaps Thanks

Just had a quick check and it says EVOO & OO on the ingredient... It is OO Light in Color - Next recipe plain old OO and see if this helps... However, any other suggestions (just in case that isn't the reason) still welcome!!!

Thanks for the advice, I use a cheap local British Supermarket own brand and am wondering if it is polluted with any other oils?! It is the only OO I have ever used... but I did wonder if my oils were contaminated in some way... perhaps next batch will be different olive oil to see if this...

Morning everyone. I am a newbie at making LS. Made several batches and never had a clear soap! I have now changed to: deionised water, a recipe without Jojoba (only Coconut & Olive & Castor Oils in fact) I do 'cook' the soap a little (I know it can be CP) so I am just wondering if soap...

Only on my 5th batch :) I have seen posts about it and did debate which method to go with... There is time to try it :)

I have now pared down my original recipe to stick with those 3 oils + deionised water so going to try that today but I do wonder how Dr Bronner gets to add Hemp & Jojoba Oils and stay so clear??!!!!
