    Factors that change your soap!

Pretty much what I thought, although my KOH is sealed up pretty tight. I know you can liquid soap 'cold' - just never done it and don't want to waste batches trying it out lol - Maybe one day I will!!! :-P Essential Oils definitely have a big effect and give me a headache :)

    Factors that change your soap!

I make liquid soap fairly regularly and I follow the same recipe, the same additives in the same location with the same slowcooker! HOWEVER... soaps often come out differently which is annoying. Some are pretty clear (I use a tiny amount of Jojoba so I know it will never be crystal clear)...

    Can you overcook liquid soap?

Just had a quick check and it says EVOO & OO on the ingredient... It is OO Light in Color - Next recipe plain old OO and see if this helps... However, any other suggestions (just in case that isn't the reason) still welcome!!!

    Can you overcook liquid soap?

Morning everyone. I am a newbie at making LS. Made several batches and never had a clear soap! I have now changed to: deionised water, a recipe without Jojoba (only Coconut & Olive & Castor Oils in fact) I do 'cook' the soap a little (I know it can be CP) so I am just wondering if soap...

    Cloudiness and Separation Troubleshooting!

I have now pared down my original recipe to stick with those 3 oils + deionised water so going to try that today but I do wonder how Dr Bronner gets to add Hemp & Jojoba Oils and stay so clear??!!!!

    Cloudiness and Separation Troubleshooting!

Could I sneak in 1% of jojoba? ha ha - I really want Jojoba in it!!!! Castor Oil definitely doesn't cloud? It is at 15% Thanks for taking the time to answer x

    Cloudiness and Separation Troubleshooting!

I have made 3 batches of LS now and still having problems with cloudiness in particular! I used tap water initially then moved to deionised water but I am still getting cloudy soap! I use 2% SF, 90% KOH on calc and my recipe includes Olive, Coconut, Castor Oils with 2% Jojoba (in that...

    First timer with Questions

Yeah, bought the pH strips ages ago and realized they weren't much use! I was just making sure the alkalinity was on the right track! Zap test was all good though! I am debating on the whole preservative thing (I don't use them in CP) but I have one test bottle I am keeping - see if anything...
