I came across a bar recently that's made with only palm oil as the fat. I've done pure CO with 20% SF. Would the palm oil recipe be similar? The bar is ridiculously amazing and I'm inclined to try it. Anyone try this before? I haven't read anything about it yet...

Do you use more than 10% butters in your recipes? I've read that's the max you want to use to avoid graininess...

If you use butters at all in your lip balms, and don't temper the butters when making them, graininess can happen. It can also re-occur when the lip balm is exposed to extreme temperature changes. I've totally gone overboard with cinnamon before. My biggest recommendation is to use it as a hand, body, and foot soap... and NOT on your face. I don't let people use it that have overly sensitive skin, just to protect them when they're over. I often have various soap in the guest bath. Love...

And, in case you're wondering what happened when I tried rebatching in the crock pot... The results are in this image... A crumbly mess... They kinda held together, until I cut them. This would be fine to turn into soap socks, but I had about 3 quarts of it!!!
