    Ocean soap

Hello all, I just did a soap project I saw on Youtube. Let me know how you like it. Thanks. I think it turned out pretty good. I am having trouble because the white layer is falling off when I go to package it though. :(

    Baskets

Thanks for sharing the links. I'm just starting out selling my products (salt scrubs, soap, aromatherapy blends, and lotion bars). I always seem to start out with inventory that is a little pricey, then find a cheaper alternative in most cases.

    Software

I too bought SM3 Pro and LOVE IT. If you want to track inventory you will need the 100 version, not the lite. I also use Quickbooks and love it. SM3 takes all the work out of accounting. Have fun!

    Baskets

I apologize if this is a double post I can't seem to find the previous post on the same thing I thought I did a day ago. I am wondering if anyone can suggest some cute baskets for a soap/aromatherapy/lotion soap basket. I found these berry boxes on Amazon really reasonable, but they look a...

I compared Brambleberry with Bulk Apothecary recently and B.A. wins due to their better shipping rates. Have fun!

I'm not familiar with that-but thanks for the clarification. I find the SFIC bases have a great ingredient list.

    Double boiler vs Micowave

I have always used the microwave. I've done 12-4oz bars of soap. The microwave is quick and easy at 30 second bursts.

M&P getting better hydration and lather?

I would avoid using SLS and just know that homemade soap won't sud like the rest, but it is much better for you. I got this from an article I was reading about SLS: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), and Ammonium Laurel Sulfate (ALS) Sodium lauryl sulfate is a...

Soap Queen videos really helped me in the beginning of my journey.

    M&p preference

To SoapSavvy I add shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, and jojoba oil to my M&P bases. It takes a lot of experimenting because you can over do it sometimes. I use the following for 1 lb. Also, I don't use any other base other than the SFIC. I prefer honey and shea SFIC. .5 ounces...
