    de-funk de pits

SURPRISE!! I just popped in for a second. Don’t really know what prompted me to, actually. Yes, Earlene, life is definitely getting in the way lately. As far as the question of the salt crystal is concerned, I did use one of those for a long time and loved it. The only problem I has was...

What to do with those ugly end bits?

I use my scraps at the kitchen sink for hand washing. I save a lot of dish soap that way. I never realized how often I washed my hands at the kitchen sink using dish soap until I started using the soap scraps. My dish soap lasts three times what it used to.

I am standing up and admitting ...

I have a refrigerator full of FOs, and EOs. I have a different refrigerator full of oils. I have shelves of micas, clays, rice flour, arrowroot, baking soda, DE, deodorant tubes, powder boxes...and more yarn than many yarn shops. I also have a pound or more of wool to spin. I’m a hopeless...

    de-funk de pits

I eat kimchi frequently because I like the taste. I don’t eat sauerkraut as often as I used to, just because I don’t eat kielbasa or hot dogs much anymore. I probably should substitute the sauerkraut for the kimchi since it’s cheaper and not as spicy. I tried kombucha once and was thoroughly...

    de-funk de pits

That’s because we become accustomed to it. We don’t smell our own “morning breath” even though it is directly under our nose because we’ve acclimated to it. We don’t find our own body odors offensive because we’ve become used to it. It has to be really bad for us to notice, or we have to be...

    Un-Talcum Powder

Thanks for the reply BattleGnome. I’m just checking messages. Yes, talc has been linked to breast cancer and other reproductive cancers and endocrine issues. As someone with a compromised immune system, and a need for the cooling & absorbent comfort of powder daily, I needed to find something...

    de-funk de pits

I’m so thrilled that so many people are having such success with this. I sent a sample of the deodorant to a friend in Washington, DC for him to try. It was scented with cmzaha’s Dragon’s Blood FO, which smells amazing and has great all day staying power at just 2% total weight. I’m going to...

    Post your Gripe

Thanks!! I’ve ripped the wall apart. Literally there is a huge gaping hole. I’ve also sprayed the area with an enzyme that has gotten rid of the odor and stain. I used an ultraviolet light to see if there was anymore biological evidence left and it’s all gone. Just to be on the safe side...

    de-funk de pits

I’m on my iPad, so this will be harder to do. I searched for the qualities of babassu oil. There is good info regarding the plant and its origins and uses at www.pfaf.org (attalea speciosa - Mart.). So far, everything I’ve found regarding the melting point unequivocally states it is around 76...

    Post your Gripe

I discovered today that the wallpaper peeling from the wall was not caused by the water heater leak I had a couple of months ago. I finally decided to get it taken care of because it had a musty smell to it. Well, the musty smell (soft & damp drywall) and peeling paper were from a different...

    Dragon's Blood

I made two deodorants with this DB in them. I think I'm going to change the name of this particular deodorant from "de Funk de Pits" to "Gee My Pits Smell Great!" Yeah. They sure do!!
