Been away so long--Latest soaps :)

Thank you! It was definitely challenging, but that's part of what I love about soap <3

Been away so long--Latest soaps :)

I used mostly brambleberry micas--plum dusk and lilac are the ones i remember off the top of my head, sadly not near my soap stuff atm to double check

Been away so long--Latest soaps :)

Hey all, took ages for me to come back :) Missed this forum! Here's some of the soap I have been working on. I hope this post is ok ^^ Just a couple Halloweens

    It's looking like Fall time

That's lovely! Pumpkin soap is so amazing, but it makes me want to bake, haha! Can't wait to see the swirls inside when you cut it :)

    Breast Milk Soap

This thread is making me want to re-lactate so I can make the soap xD My wee one only stopped nursing last year, and I know HOW to re-lactate, it's just a pain in the tukus! I used to use my breastmilk for all sorts of things--infections, lacerations, eczema, pinkeye, the whole nine yards...

    Body Powders?

Well, I've found this recipe here that seems fairly straightforward. Might give that a shot. I'm not making it to sell, just making it for me, so I can pretty much control every aspect of making it (and I am VERY fussy and careful with ingredient amounts), so I should be good. Thank you for the...

    Body Powders?

Hey everyone! I have a bunch of old containers from my facial powder-they're the sort for loose powder, with holes at the top and it comes with a little puff. I have arrowroot powder, and have been considering making small amounts of scented body powder to use instead of perfumes or lotions...

    Butter recipe advice please

Not a clue, but it's something I've noticed, as I soap with butters quite often. Even at 5%, they take a lot longer to harden than my soaps without butters.

    Butter recipe advice please

It may also take a bit longer to harden. It seems it will be very nice, but need a good long cure.

    Beast to beauty - rebatch.

To answer about the glitter: it should rinse off. I use the tiny iridescent glitter from soapylove in a ridiculous amount of my soaps and I've not had an incidence of it staying after the shower.

Thank you for looking into it for me! I'm really curious xD Everyone else: Thank you so much for the kind words ^^

    Soap Base question

The lye doesn't 'dissipate', it's just a vehicle for the chemical reaction that turns the oils and liquid into soap. The lye isn't in the soap any longer once saponification is complete, technically. And yeah, handmade soap with a PH of 7 is pretty much impossible. Most store bought soap has a...

    Celestial Colors... zOMG!

That sounds awesome! Do you have a link I could have to them? I'm looking into alternate colorants (I generally use oxides).

Salt and pepperming in MP oozing brown?

Hi and welcome! Did you use anything else in the bar, or was it just the base, the dried leaves, and the salt?
