Hey everyone! I have a bunch of old containers from my facial powder-they're the sort for loose powder, with holes at the top and it comes with a little puff. I have arrowroot powder, and have been considering making small amounts of scented body powder to use instead of perfumes or lotions...

Not a clue, but it's something I've noticed, as I soap with butters quite often. Even at 5%, they take a lot longer to harden than my soaps without butters.

It may also take a bit longer to harden. It seems it will be very nice, but need a good long cure.

To answer about the glitter: it should rinse off. I use the tiny iridescent glitter from soapylove in a ridiculous amount of my soaps and I've not had an incidence of it staying after the shower.

The lye doesn't 'dissipate', it's just a vehicle for the chemical reaction that turns the oils and liquid into soap. The lye isn't in the soap any longer once saponification is complete, technically. And yeah, handmade soap with a PH of 7 is pretty much impossible. Most store bought soap has a...
