    "Rustic" lip balm recipe

Thanks all! So, honey...I thought that would separate itself from the rest of the ingredients? Also, Susie, just those 2 ingredients? Very interesting! I did make a batch last night with eo's Light Patchouli, Lavender, Mandarin and Bergamot. It is...rustic...smelling (thank you Patchouli...

    "Rustic" lip balm recipe

Hi all, I am hosting an Outlander event at my library (I'm a librarian) and I was going to give out some lip balms as giveaways to the guests at the event. I have made a few sweet lip balms in tubes, but I am trying to wrack my brain to think of a more rustic recipe in terms of smell/flavor to...

    Recommended companies for EO

I am curious on this too. I am torn from a B&B makers pov. I have purchased from NDA, WSP, BB and MMS for B&B making purposes. I have been happy with all of those. I would like to purchase more "therapeutic" (I know that is a buzzword and possibly a fake thing but you know what I mean) blends...

    Transporting product

Elmtree, would your lotions fit in the dividers of a case of bottled beer? You could go by a liquor store and ask for a box with the divider insert?

    Farmers market woes!!!!

I love your set up! Similar situation in my neck of the woods, almost all markets are producer -only. It was actually a baker who had told me about a market that I then contacted who said no you have to be a producer (I really wanted to gvie them the baking analogy...). Really, because of that I...

    Lip Balm recipe help?

Susie, that is such a great tip about pouring only one tube until you get everything to your liking. Makes me think duh that I didn't think of that, great idea!

    First body scrub

I have been doing liquid oils in my scrubs but would like to start incorporating butters. I need to research on how to do that, if it changes the process at all. Lots of experimentation going to be going on round here with that! :)

Making your booth stand out in 2014

I don't know, MzMolly. I have done a few shows, none were a 10x10 booth size, just indoor table size shows. Now that it is spring and I am looking to do some outdoor markets, I am intimidated by the whole 10x10 thing. I like the idea of sharing space, but what about just moving your table up...

    Lavender spill

Yes, I was able to salvage the top layer and then anything even close to the floor I vacuumed. I made sure to empty the vacuum before I sucked it up so at least my vacuum would smell of lavender for a bit. When I saw it, and the chilren', I was like Maya Rudolph as Donatella Versace on SNL...

    Producer only markets

Isn't that funny/weird that your sales doubled, wow! I know some are agricultural only, and for example, no bananas or pineapple since they aren't grown locally. But a baker acquaintance who I met at another show told me about a market she did and the contact person, and when I contacted him he...

    Producer only markets

It's getting to be farmer's market season here and in the Washington DC/surburbs area, there are LOTS of markets! Some (admittedly, the "cooler" ones) are producer only. I have done quite a bit of Googling on this topic and I guess because of the generality of the word, I'm not getting too far...
