The color is "Hollywood Pink Mica" at Nurture Soap Supplies. I did hand stir the FO. Now that the FO is mentioned I think it is very possible I did not mix it in well enough.

This is the soap and formula I made two days ago. The mold was removed after 24 hours and I cut it today, 24 hours after removing from mold. I have used this formula many times without having this happen. I don't know what I might have done wrong. I am thinking could I have had a false trace...

After curing I like to store in sport card boxes. Definitely store in something that is not considered air tight. If humidity is a big problem store where you have an air conditioner running it a circulating fan at least. Also if you are not using EDTA, give it a try in your formulas.

Right now about 150 bars! Will be gifting a lot this year.

I have started using 38% lye concentration. So far this is working well for me. Would this be considered too high for most? I do not normally gel soap. I use what I think is a balanced formula (32 % palm, coconut, and Olive, 4 % castor).

I normally cure my soap for a full 3 months storing in sport card boxes. However I am out of space on my rack and wonder how many weeks I can safely go before boxing. Can you share your ideas on this please.

I have since asking my question covered the mixed lye solution while waiting for the temp to drop. It worked - no soda ash! I also have since let the soda ash develop, did not strain and the soap came out just fine.

Thank you for the input. I emailed supplier as Obsidian suggested and now know hat their 50 pound block is "no stir". All other sizes must be melted and stirred. 50 pounds of Palm oil is a lot for me, however I am seriously considering the possibility. Again, thank yo all for your input.
