    Synthetic fragrance oil

Started out ONLY wanting to use EO and yes price is crazy for most of them, and then needing to use a lot to stick Found a local place that has FO samples to smell and purchase, so tried some out. Price is really reasonable for end cost and scent is actually nice. So now most "specialty" will...

    Rice Bran oil plus...

soapcalc.net has a lye calculator to play around with. I just put in a 50/50 of cocoa butter and rice bran oil or 60/40 It wont have any cleansing or bubbly but would still be soap after you add lye. I suppose it would be similar qualities as a castile or such. Others will chime in and let you...

    Choosing a stainless steel cooker

homebrew beer...oh yeah that's fun! Nothing like a good 'ol boil over! Some peeps may have to use a stove if they dont have a microwave. I choose stove even though we have both. Normal for our process is setting the SS pot of oils on the hot stove and then turning it off. They will heat up...

    Choosing a stainless steel cooker

We use SS pots for CP, and they are light, they do the job great. I added that lighter is better since I saw a SS pot over the weekend and boy was it heavy. I would rather lift a 5 lb total vrs a 10-15 lb total. The stove in my kitchen has a glass top with no coils, forgot the coils...

    Choosing a stainless steel cooker

Thinner/lighter may be better! Depending on what size you choose, remember that it will be even heavier once you have oils in it. Just saying, since there are some pots out there that are 5-10 lbs empty. I found some that are SS but are very thin and light...makes things easier.

    Retail storefront

Keep in mind that a "soap" shop would be considered a specialty shop. Specialty shops do very well with other specialty shops.Since you will not be reselling a product, you are actually the manufacturer, so there is a head start there.Costs will be low, then you are selling at retail. But along...

    Nailed it!....Not really, lol.

Doesnt look bad at all, pretty cool. If there was thinner lines of black or if they had swirls lines coming out at all places it would look like marble. Nice colors, the gray is nice.

    bulkapothecary?

We only use their essential oils. Their prices are tough to beat for pretty much anything on their site....unless you may only need one item and found a source for it. They just went thru a site upgrade and lost my account info, but cs is top notch so just a simple email and they sent all...

Which process is best to make the most basic soap?

You should use a nice digital scale to get proper weights on your oils. There are some recipes on the web that use volume measurements, i.e. 1 cup of this, etc,,, however you will be limited and also not many will recommend that way since we are dealing with lye and you need to be accurate for...

    Not impressed with Bulk Apothecary!

We use them exclusively atm. Ordered multiple times, very large orders including freight. No issues of yet and shipping is not bad either. (guess depends where you live, as always) Every order has been on point. Hope they get it straightened out for you and then some! They do have an online...
