Having a problem with my throw

In my experience, with tarts you really need a para-soy blend to get a great throw from them. Of course, thats just my personal opinion, but when I first started doing tarts I wanted to do all soy, as that was what my candles were... but after several different attempts and blends, I learned...

    Need your advice

You also have to realize that with the internet, very little is truly "secret" anymore. You can find recipes for just about anything.... and its near impossible to perfectly duplicate someone elses recipe. You and I could both make bath bombs from the exact same recipe and they still would not...

My "Duh" moment for the week

Honestly I think I was more upset about losing the fragrance oil and shea butter for that batch! Citric acid is relatively inexpensive but I die a little inside each time I waste any shea butter

My "Duh" moment for the week

Was mixing up some bath bombs and just got in a new bag of citric acid, so I decided to "de-clump" the bag before I got started. So I got out my big bowl and started de-clumping. After that, I went and mixed my dry ingredients then went to mix my wet. Grabbed my dry bowl and wet bowl and...

    How much do you make?

Don't get me wrong, most of my profit goes right back into the business for more inventory and better supplies (it gets harder and harder the more I sell to do it on my own, so I've employed my kids too.... my 12 year old is in charge of the "packaging department". But, it is profit none the...

    Making the big purchases....

I know what you mean about the delivery drivers. This week alone I think I've received 12 packages, which is a pretty typical week around here. Hardest part is cramming everything into this tiny apartment...lol.

    How much do you make?

At this moment, flea markets, craft shows, soon to have a store. I have a loyal following in a certain professional community which is where a vast amount of my business comes from. I've been taking orders via email (mostly word of mouth) and hope to also have a website up soon, but I am an...

    How much do you make?

My average profit for bath and body is well over 1K per month, but most of my profit margin is not in soap itself. My kids soaps sell really well, adult soap is hit and miss. But, my other bath products (bath bombs, melts, salts, etc) are my profit leaders.

trying to come up with a creative name

Actually, "Kia" is Korean for "Thank You". :) For me, I have my main company name, and a "division" for my bath and body line. Fairies are incorporated into both logo's though, for brand recognition.

Pricing for a B&M Store suggestions

Hi everyone! I have been making bath and body for about 3 years now and am in the final stages of getting funded to open a store. The only thing I need to finish up is my financial projections, and thats where I am stuck. I've been selling at flea markets and craft shows and the like, where...
