    Suitable soap making book?

i also find both books and the forum to be helpful. i don't believe one is better than the other. people have different learning styles and different life circumstances that make spending a lot of time on a forum quite unfeasible. i find it good to remember that just because one method works for...

    de-funk de pits

teresa, i was just reading about lemongrass EO from the lady who runs the learning about EOs site and she says lemongrass, due to its chemical family (aldehydes), needs to be used at low dilution and is strongly recommended for short-term use. i know we always have to use the dilution...

    SBHP Questions

yw :) the lovin soap blog has some good info on infusing oils with herbs & spices for natural colorants. you can see how some didn't result in too much color though. also, if you look at the preview for anne-marie's book pure soapmaking she shows actual soaps made with natural colorants and then...

Question about using premade shampoo bases

snappy, did you try the stephenson conditioner too? i'm looking for a silicone-free conditioner to use as a leave-in and was wondering about theirs. it looks like reviews on brambleberry are better for the stephenson conditioner than the shampoo.

i'm not sure if you're just in a soaping rut or having an existential crisis so i'll try to hit upon both aspects. since soapmaking is a hobby and is meant to be enjoyable then i'd just lay it down for a bit if you currently aren't enjoying it. you'll pick it back up when the mood...

A bald eagle just flew over my yard!!!

i think i saw a bald eagle too a couple months ago. i happened to be looking up at the sky when walking my dog and saw a soaring black bird with a huge wingspan and the head was all white. i looked online when i got home and it sure looked like it could have been a bald eagle. i think it was...
