    Those pesky bath bombs

Thanks. A bit wiser 😊 Any hint to how much PS80, preferably in %? By the way.. What mold types do you all use. I've been using the 3D printed molds from The maker Shoppe. But maybe the stainless steel or clear pvc are better (so the bombs can dry a bit in the molds) 🤔

    Those pesky bath bombs

Given i % you then use about 10,5% moist in form of cocoa butter. Do you think/feel the bombs are "oily" on the outside in any way? I also see you use a 5% with slsa. Lots of bubbles but hows the fizz? And have you tried Poly 80 incorporated in this recipe (to avoid color stains in the tub I...

    Those pesky bath bombs

First of all. I think I've read almost every thread and reply regarding bath bombs that don't behave. Do keep that in mind before replying My challenge is that my bombs don't harden properly. Even after as long as 5 days they crumble quite easily. And I feel/think it may come down to moist...

Additives in soap -things that make med wonder

Thank's for replies. So..Mainly it's just me and how I think  And I must agree that most additives probably don't make any harm. (But they probably don't make any big benefits for the skin either regarding the lye) And in many cases I agree it's a gimmick - I looks fancy at the label :D...

Additives in soap -things that make med wonder

Hi all. I've been member for a while, made some batches of soap but still consider myself as a rookie. What puzzles me is the kind of stuff people actually are willing to put in their soaps. Well, first of all - this post is kind of a sigh of frustration regarding a FB soap group Is it just me...

Tung oil or China wood oil

But he oil is from pressing seeds from the nut of the Tung tree (Vernicia fordii) so it's all natural. Further..pure Tung oil is considered safe to use on wooden surfaces that comes in contact with food and/or as a varnish on wooden children's toys. Maybe it's not used in cosmetics because it...

    Zany's no slime castile

Do you use coarse or fine sea salt? Just because I started wondering, I weight 1 tablespoon of each type, and there is a significant difference you see.

    Zany's no slime castile

Just a silly question from me in Norway not measuring "stuff" in oz- lbs - mile etc but in metric units...How much is your 1 quart in milliliter or deciliter?

What the heck am I doing wrong?

Thank's for uplifting comments.:) It's on my list to try "your recipe",but I wanted to get a bit experience with LS by making an easy recipe or two first. As mentioned in an other reply, the residue and clarity problems after diluting can relate to the purity of the KOH. I'll try to experiment...
