Last night:
Hungarian Goulash over red rice, tonight sauerkraut with pork in a sauce over mashed taters. Oh don't get me going. I love to cook. Night before last was pan seared salmon with wild rice.
Being a long time Floyd fan with many of there concerts under my belt. Dark side of the moon is an awesome album but if your going to light up a hemp candle or use hemp soap you might take a listen to the Meddle album song Echoes. Listen from beginning but it really kicks in at about 7 minutes...
Built three 3lb soap molds for my marathon soap making next weekend. Patchouli and Lavender. Any leftover oils I will make some 1lb. batches for my sister's in lavender.
So my granddaughters are coming to visit in February and I would like to do MP soap with them as a craft. Any suggestions on what to get for our craft day and where.
Thanks
I guess it was something that popped into my head since it will be the first time I add fragrance. Didn't think much about it with just the sodium lactate but thought by now adding more liquid (fragrance) it would effect the lye concentrate. Sound like I'm okay to move forward without any changes.
So I am ready to go from my 1 lb mold to a 3 lb mold. Question about fragrance and sodium lactate. Should I reduce my water by the amount of fragrance and sodium lactate I put in my recipe?
Thanks

Hello everyone,
Newby here, I'm assuming that soap calc takes in to account all liquids including fragrance. My question is if I add any other liquids such as sodium lactate do I need to reduce my water by the amount added. My lye solution is at 33%. Thanks
Made my first bars of soap yesterday and unboxed and sliced today. Not real pretty right now until I figure out my recipe. Will let them cure on a rack for 4 - 6 weeks. Pretty excited.
