This is last night's soaping. The Gingerbread men and the blue soap were FOs from this supplier and actually this morning seem to not behaved quite as badly as I expected so maybe I'm getting somewhere!?

I'm in the UK. The ones I struggle to work with are from the soap kitchen I do 40% lard, 20% OO, 20% coconut oil, 15% mango butter and 5% castor oil. Have no problems using FOs from another supplier

So I have 3 batches of soap under my belt now. I'm 90% happy with my 3rd recipe after taking on advice from a bunch of places but I know there is always room to improve it so 4th batch will have a tiny tweak and then I expect to be 99% happy with it - I do still have at least a fortnight to wait...

I dont really understand the different between micas and dyes in terms of how they perform and change the soaps

I really likethe purple once it did its thing so I must order some more :) I've already got a plan for my next batch (or batch after -will see) so am off to post a thread for ideas on how to create it :D

I'm really pleased with them. I really like the purple so I need to remember to order more from the supplier- I've already ordered more of the FO as I LOVE it Dog is fine. Little brat :D Am glad she's ok cause I'm rather fond of her naughty self!
